John did a fantastic job of getting my totally mixed up laptop up and running again. I was kept totally informed as to what he was going to do, to solve the many problems the laptop had. He explained everything to me and always phoned me to say when he was coming. He did a complete re installation of Windows 7 and even managed to save and re install some important files. A brilliant job done by John, and I have no hesitation in recommending John, and I will always use PC Pals in the future. Although in future I will not wait till my laptop is totally useless. I am a total computer illiterate , and it is now comforting to know that I can call on some one like John to sort out my laptop problems.

I upgraded to Windows 10 just before Christmas, and our Emails disappeared. I phoned our engineer, John, who arrived the next day . He spent several hours looking for the Emails, and eventually found my husband's, but not mine. A call to BT proved fruitless, and they promised to call back the next day. They never did! John called back, but meantime my son had retrieved my Email after several more hours searching.

The Engineer reloaded Windows 7 to delete Windows 10 which was causing my existing programs problems. He then set up a home group so that I could print from my laptop in the lounge to the printer in the study.
Thank goodness he got rid of Windows 10 its diabolical. Gary Betts was a brilliant software engineer and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if I have problems.

These guys were absolutely fantastic.

When my External Hard Drive lost it's power. I was unwilling to pay the extortionate fees the manufacturer wanted to recover the data, so I gave these guys a bell. Thank god I did!

Unable to fix the problem in my home, the took it away to test at their facilities. They tried absolutely everything and they managed to recover all my data.

I owe them a huge debt of gratitude. They went far above and beyond to help me especially I had given up hope of seeing my data again.

I cannot recommend these professional, friendly guys highly enough.

I thought John was fantastic. I really don't understand the computer very well and he took me through each step patiently explaining what was going on. I also feel I can ring him again any time I have a query.
Although he worked for almost two hours on my computer it is still playing up a little. It is sooooo much better BUT I might have to get him back again soon. I'll leave it a few weeks to see if it settles down.

My main concern is that I had left it late to back up files from my desk PC and the documents were related to work carried out for a local Bowling Club. thorough and found more problems than I realised I had.
My email now works perfectly on my computer and my I pad. He also spotted that we had avg as well as McAfee on the computer and we did not know how avg got there,
He gave us advise on only keeping to one virus finders and gave us a clue to an expected charge.
He also sorted out our router and although I apologised for him having

The problem was that the printer did not respond in any way, possibly resulting from having been temporarily unplugged when it was receiving or transmitting a "hidden" signal. Mr Sean Forster went through a long sequence of procedures to find the one to correct the fault.
He also made adjustments to improve the operation of the installation, the most noticeable being the speed.

Keith is a true computer professional. I called him out because my 5 year old desktop computer was intermittently dropping the internet signal from a new router. Using his diagnostic software he quickly ascertained that the hard disk drive was about to fail which allowed me sufficient time to do a full data backup. Keith agreed to build me a new desktop computer, to a specification I agreed with him, on the stable Windows 7 platform (I purposely did not Windows 10). The new computer was delivered complete with the program software I had provided which saved me a lot of hassle.

Saved the situation for me as I was unfamiliar with windows 8 and found myself incapable of installing it and making things suitable for my requirements.
Sean was totally ethical and gave me time to get a grasp of how to use it so that I did not feel incompetent any more. He also enabled me to use the hard drive from my broken mini laptop as an auxilliary hard drive on which to copy the factory settings from my new machine, saving me money and hassle galore.

Chris came to this "maiden in distress" and sorted out the problems existing at that time extremely efficiently. However I attempted to upgrade to Windows 10 recently after receiving a message to do so. Since then things are yet again not right, obviously down to my lack of technology ability. Also my Norton virus I bought is ended and although Chris instructed me on what do I've not been able to do so.I must

This is the second time that I've used PC Pal and as before, the service was first class.

My Virgin Internet connection had died and their helpline had suggested calling out a PC engineer. Your Engineer quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem - a task way beyond my capabilities.

Once the PC had been fixed he also helped me by installing a Powerline network, a job I sprung on him out of the blue. This was not helped by our Puppy eating the eathernet cable?

I'm more than happy to pay someone who knows what they're doing to get me out of a fix!

Mark Duncan was really friendly and helpful during his visit to our home. He thoroughly cleaned our desktop and laptop drives, and gave us some useful advice on various computing problems we had been suffering. When he came up against some seriously embedded malware, he took the laptop away to deal with it in his own time, thereby limiting the cost to us. He returned the laptop promptly next day. I rang Peter on the afternoon of 27th July, after trying to get an engineer from VIRGIN MEDIA, to help me sort out my problems, this was after some 12 telephone calls to their office, all of which, failed with the operator hanging up on me. I found Phil to be extremely knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any queries I had about the various 'issues' we had with our laptop. Phil's initial remit was to rescue the photographs and music from our 'dead' laptop. As well as doing this, he also managed to resurrect the laptop itself and give it a second life.On top of this, Phil was full of useful advice on how to update our current setup and what we might need to think about if we should wish to upgrade - thus saving us both money and time.
