On Tuesday we reported McAfee's bungled security update which caused Windows XP to crash or computers to repeatedly reboot because it identified a legitimate system film as malware and removed it.
McAfee added a page to their website, explaining their offer of compensation to customers who paid to fix problems with their computers - PC PAL saw a number of these customers and spent a considerable amount of time in some cases, putting it right.
The page explains that McAfee will post an update about how customers should go about making their claim in the next few days. Well there's been no sign of an update. It seems that, the official McAfee response has not been well received, evidenced by the comments on their blog.
