It’s Time For A Trio Of Stocking Fillers

Four weeks to Christmas, so here are three tech related stocking filler ideas, starting with a pair for the snap happy mobile phone or tablet addict.
The Topwell Wireless Shutter Controller is ideal for the snapper who struggles to get the camera in the right position and trigger the picture at the same time.

Basically, it is a hand held fob with two buttons, one for iOS phones or tablets and one for Androids. It connects by Bluetooth and takes a shot when its button is pressed. Not bad for under £3 at Amazon. It can go hand in hand with the UFCIT selfie stick. This is a telescopic arm with a multi-directional mobile clamp on the end.

It has two uses. One for taking ‘selfies’ from further than an arm’s length, the other for getting a phone’s camera above the crowd in busy places.
Naturally, it needs either a time-delayed shot or a Shutter Controller to collect an image when the phone is out of reach. Nevertheless, it is a good deal at under a fiver.

The enthusiastic Bake Off fan who has ditched the recipe books I favour of a tablet risks coating it in floury fingerprints by picking it up to check the next instruction. For this, a Belkin Chef Stand might do the trick.
It holds a tablet at a suitable angle for reading and its non-slip rubber base keeps it steady whilst the associated stylus is used to scroll and interact with the screen.
Despite the name, there are many other uses for the Chef stand, available at £20 from a range of online outlets.
