A Very Appy Xmas To All..

Santa Claus

As you count down the hours to Christmas Day, there are a host of Apps available for your phone and tablet to help you and the family get into the seasonal spirt.

Christmas story Apps range from the Elves And The Shoemaker to A Charlie Brown Christmas to Dickens’ Christmas Carol.

Talking of carols, there are also plenty of Christmas Songbook Apps to sing along to and learn the words from.

We know that, for younger ones, the clock moves more and more slowly as Christmas approaches, so give them a more interesting clock watch with Google Play’s Christmas Snow Clock or iTunes’ Christmas Toy Clock.

To pass some time, why not decorate a tree, a virtual one, of course.

Glowtunes Christmas on iTunes and Christmas Wallpaper Live from Google Play let you decide on the look of your onscreen seasonal fir.

Then, when the kids have gone to sleep, it may be time to turn to Gift Wrapping Ideas on your Android or Gift Wrapping Instant Expert for an iPhone or iPad to get some hot tips on making a present look extra special.

Or, perhaps between the BBC Good Food Festive Recipes on iOS devices and Christmas Joy Ingredients on Android screens, you might discover a new taste of Christmas cheer.

The one App that no family can do without, though, is surely the NORAD Santa Tracker, which tells the kids exactly how long they have to wait before Santa comes down the chimney and shows them where he is at anytime.

They can find him already at work in New Zealand long before they go to bed on Christmas Eve.
