As of the 1st September BT will shut down its dial up internet access. The decision was made because there are only a tiny amount of customers who currently use dial up modems to go online.
The majority of BT customers have moved over to broadband, but many people in rural areas now have had to move to Plusnet a subsidiary of BT to get them online as broadband is not available.
