The advantages of being a Silver Surfer - by Peter Clarke of PC PAL
March 2013 saw the release of the Age UK survey of silver surfers.
Almost 1 in 4 people feel that they are closer to family and friends as a result of being online and 42% declare that they now cannot imagine life without the internet.
The research also uncovered that 44% have made savings online and 32% now use the internet to pursue hobbies.
There is now a drive to get more people of 55+ years to sign up to using the internet in the hope of improving their lives: read more at https://www.ageuk.org.uk/
Many people who have not yet come into contact with the internet may be wary of stories regarding internet fraud and think it’s all too complicated. Others who have a computer are not getting the most from it due to an unfamiliarity surrounding computers and the best way to use them. With the right set-up, including strong passwords, internet security and a few well-placed shortcuts the internet can be made to be a simple, safe and rewarding undertaking.
We had done some research first at https://antibioticspro.com. After that, we were diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori.
78% of web users aged 55+ say their life has improved by being online - If you would like some help to join them by having some practical support (without the use of jargon!) then contact me on the numbers below.
