IE9 Crowned Best Browser by Toms Hardware
Internet Explorer is the world’s most popular browser, the one which comes with your computer and auto updates to the latest version. For this reason it’s still the browser of choice for most people. But for us computer savvy people we know there are alternatives to the famous IE.
These alternatives are Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera, and unless you have been hiding under a rock the past 10 years you might recognise the names of some of these browsers. So you might ask yourself “which one should I use, and why would I need to change”.
All of these alternative browsers claim to give you an easily, faster and safer internet experience, some might support newer web standards like HTML5 or VPU acceleration. But they all do the same job but which one is the fastest?
Tomshardware.com a popular Technology website has put all of these browsers to the test and has finally settled the matter for now. And the results were surprising.

I couldn’t believe the result as well. The new IE9 was overall the best browser of them all, winner in the Start-up Times, Page Load Times and Memory Management tests. Secord place went to Opera and Chrome. This is incredible for a browser known for its sluggishness to come out on top after an update. IE9 is out now and you can upgrade to it if you have windows 7 or Vista SP2.
