The old Internet (IPv4) addresses are going to run out in the next few months. But we should be OK for a little while still because most Internet Providers (BT,Talktalk, Sky, Virgin etc) have addresses in reserve, but if they don’t they could just use a bigger version of a home router with home users on one side and the new Internet (IPv6) addresses on the other.
Either way we should still be able to watch programs on BBC iPlayer or go and Google something without having to worry just yet. Also some of the big internet companies are having a world IPv6 test day in June, hopefully they can test it before we run out...
