Well, Windows 7 was finally released last week after being much hyped and advertised over the last few months. Poor old Vista is no longer "cutting edge" and will no doubt be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
The PC PAL team have been using Windows 7 for a few months now (we get advanced copies by being registered Microsoft members) and what's our verdict one might ask? Well to be honest we are all pretty impressed. Microsoft have done a fantastic job in releasing a piece of software which has yet to crash. We've had the odd glitch, but nowhere near as problematic as Vista was. To be fair, it's yet to go wrong!
So the PC PAL verdict is if you've been thinking of buying a new PC or Laptop for a while but have been put off by all the scare stories regarding Vista, rest assured that Windows 7 is a giant leap forward from XP and it looks like it will be a popular choice for many.
