The Keyboard And Keyboard Shortcuts…
Using specific keys on your keyboard or in combination as “shortcuts”, can make it easier and faster to navigate around your computer, different programs and when surfing the internet.
Shortcut keys are usually a combination of keys pressed together using the Alt, Ctrl, or Shift in conjunction with another key or keys. For example, "ALT+S" is telling you to press the Alt key and while continuing to hold the Alt key, press the S key to perform the shortcut.
Below are some keyboard shortcuts everyone should memorise and use.
Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert - Copy the highlighted text or selected item.
Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert - Paste the text or object that's in the clipboard.
Ctrl + Z - Undo any change. Can be used multiple times to undo multiple changes.
Ctrl + F - Open Find/Search in any program.
Ctrl + S - Save the file (this works in almost every program).
Ctrl + P - Print the page being viewed.
Page Up / Space bar and Page Down - Pressing either the page up or page down key will move that page one page at a time. When browsing the Internet pressing the space bar moves the page down or with Shift to go up.
