Computer enthusiast, Keith Poke has become the new local PC PAL Engineer servicing and repairing computers and laptops in your homes and businesses around the Preston area.
Keith, who lives in the Longton area of Preston, is not new to franchising. “I ran a franchise for 5 years before selling. I am fully aware of how a franchise business operates and that they are a safer route into self-employment.”
“After looking online on franchising websites I came across PC PAL. I have always had an interest in computers and the way they work and felt it would be a very interesting business to run. With no real experience in fixing computers other than doing minor repairs to my own computers, I knew it would be a challenge. I have always felt job satisfaction is very important and what can be more satisfying than repairing someone’s computer!” says Keith.
Keith went through rigorous training before launching the business and is now a qualified Microsoft Certified Professional and also has the CompTIA A+ Certification for hardware & software. “I have really enjoyed the head office training as I think the more personal touch gets the information across better. The quality of training and level of support has been extremely high and when I left head office to launch my new business I felt confident in everything that I had be taught.”
"As a mobile engineer I carry a comprehensive range of spare parts and diagnostic tools. This means I can fix most problems on the spot in the customer’s home or office. This reduces the inconvenience to them of having to remove the PC to another location" added Keith.
Keith is looking forward to the challenge of building a successful business and providing an excellent and much-in-demand service in the local Preston community.
