Malcolm Bloomer, PC PAL Belfast South Franchisee, is to compete in 3 marathons this years
Malcolm, who joined PC PAL in November 2011, is to take part in 3 marathons in 2012, with all donations going to 'Wings for Life', a charity which researches cures for spinal cord injuries.
Malcolm, who is our local PC PAL engineer for the Belfast South region, will be running in the Belfast Marathon in May which involves a 26 mile run, then on the 9th June, the Mourne Way Marathon, one of Ireland’s premier off road running events and finally, a third marathon later in the year which Malcolm is still to decided.
Malcolm's charity of choice for all 3 events is Wings For life. Wings for Life’s mission is to raise money to fund research into finding a cure for spinal cord injury paralysis. The main causes include traffic accidents and falls at home or work and the average patient age is only 33 years old. The good news is that leading scientists agree: Injured neurons are able to regenerate - paraplegia will be curable one day.
