We are very proud to announce that The PC PAL Franchise has achieved Associate Membership status of The BFA. Jat Mann, Founder and Managing Director of PC PAL said, ‘We are so pleased with this achievement, which is a true milestone in the development of any franchise. PC PAL are clearly a recognised franchise for being ethical and viable.’
PC PAL provides on-site computer repairs for homes and small businesses, dealing with problems such as Internet access disruption, viruses & spyware infections, setting up a new PC, and data recovery amongst many other services. All PC PAL engineers are Microsoft and CompTIA certified, fully insured and fix 99% of problems on the spot. Customers use the services several times a year on average and regularly refer PC PAL to friends and family.
PC PAL, the brain-child of Jat and Julia Mann, was created when they were overcharged for routine computer repair work on their home computer and decided to do something about it. So, committed and driven to providing a better alternative, Jat quit his career as accountant and then trained to become a qualified computer repair engineer.
PC PAL was launched in Solihull in 2005 with the goal in mind to become the leading computer epair and support brand in the UK, offering customers an unrivalled level of service. Having grown and developed the business successfully in Solihull, the PC PAL Franchise was launched in 2008. Starting up a new business is difficult at the best of times, but doing it in the middle of the worst UK recession since records began could be described as a challenge to say the least! The recession was no obstacle for Jat, having already proven that his computer repair business PC PAL actually responded favourably to the recession, with people turning to the ‘make-do-and-mend’ philosophy of times gone by.
PC PAL now have 7 franchisees across the UK from Sunderland, down to Basingstoke.
Jat commented, ‘It was always our aim to become members of The BFA as we feel it is a sign to potential franchisees that we have built the business upon an ethical framework and that our aims are to create a network of highly trained and friendly engineers who provide rapid, reliable and affordable support just when our customers need them. This is why we’ve only used BFA Affiliated lawyers, consultants, accountants and software suppliers in the development of our franchise.’
Steve Felmingham, Director of Business Development at UK’s leading BFA-affiliated specialist franchising consultants ‘The Franchising Centre’ commented, ‘I have been involved in the British franchise industry for many years. We have worked closely with PC PAL and have rarely dealt with a franchisor that is as ethical or has a business that is so well poised to make a success of a timely opportunity to meet the high current demand for computer services to the home.’
